Siarl,
Before reading this book, I read a review on it that said: “this book was either written for stupid people or men。” Which made me both LOL and want to read the book。 My take away of the key points the Author asserts are: 1。 Rather than try to passively detect lies, actively steer (manipulate?) conversation so liars reveal themselves。2。 Rely on your gut feeling to read people accurately。I got a laugh from that earlier reviewer, and I understand her point。 How to Read People Like a Book is bes Before reading this book, I read a review on it that said: “this book was either written for stupid people or men。” Which made me both LOL and want to read the book。 My take away of the key points the Author asserts are: 1。 Rather than try to passively detect lies, actively steer (manipulate?) conversation so liars reveal themselves。2。 Rely on your gut feeling to read people accurately。I got a laugh from that earlier reviewer, and I understand her point。 How to Read People Like a Book is best suited for someone who desperately desires to gain situational advantage over everyone they interact with。 It’s not particularly helpful to an emotionally intelligent person。 。。。more

El mejor libro sobre la psicología del comportamiento en cuanto a leer a los demás。 Tiene teoría, ejemplos y prácticos ejercicios para aprender a estudiar las relaciones humanas。
Vernon Moises Figueroa Beltre,

Dominik,
interesting A way to rethink my behaviour。 I gives a path to get to know myself。 Careful observation and context are key。

Joseph,
A good compilation of practices for more fully communicating with others, from non-verbal cues and being aware of baselines to noticing inconsistencies in speech and behavior。 There is not much depth in its content and only a few practical use cases and exercises。 There is also a large amount on personality testing and trivia, such that the book only acts as a basic primer more than a usable workbook。
Listened, granted, but it was uninteresting。 Redundant, slow, intuitive, etc。 not impressed。 Good starter book, I suppose, if you are interested in low-level psychology。 But I can’t say that this is worth the read。
Xzs,
This book was decent, but not spectacular。 It describes personality tests and the various categories thereof。 I was hoping to gain a tidbit or two of insight into human behavior, but it was mostly a regurgitation of other books I’ve read on the subject。 It talks about the difficulties of spotting a liar and the fact that most people think they are a better judge of human emotions and intentions than they actually are。 I appreciated the summary of the entire book that appears at the end。 Although This book was decent, but not spectacular。 It describes personality tests and the various categories thereof。 I was hoping to gain a tidbit or two of insight into human behavior, but it was mostly a regurgitation of other books I’ve read on the subject。 It talks about the difficulties of spotting a liar and the fact that most people think they are a better judge of human emotions and intentions than they actually are。 I appreciated the summary of the entire book that appears at the end。 Although it was a very short book, it somehow evolved into laborious read for me, so the summary chapter was a nice refresher。 。。。more
Mariateresa Vanacore,
stile molto semplice, libro davvero interessante come primo approccio al tema。
Madison,
Good information but ONE HUNDRED PERCENT a self published book with terrible margins, outrageously large text and randomly widely spaced words throughout which made it murder to read lol 😷
Nicole Krueger,
Well written and easy to read。 Could be a good addition to a Psych101 class。 Basic information, nothing thought provoking to anyone who understands anything about psychology。 10+ pages explaining the Myer-Briggs Personality test?! Come on。 1。5 stars
Tibor Mojzis,
Superficial and very boring。 Do not expect much。

Jackson,
The first chapter is useful… overall 95% fluff。 It’s all super basic content you can get from any communication class
Adam Blechschmidt,
Provided some practical application for understanding peoples motivations。 A few good insights into reading body language。The best part of the book was not the content, but reading it made me pay closer attention to those with whom I interact。
Isaac Samuel Miller,
Great book! This book really supports psychology and its evidence-based。 I learned a lot of great points from this book that I cannot wait to apply in my personal life。
Angel Veliz,
Interesting as heck。This book taught me to open my eyes and look at people with keen detection。 If I could put these observations into practice I could discover that nobody is perfect and that we have skills built in our brain to detect liars。
Atalyk Akash,
A lot of useless words
Jolanta,
Yet another so-called self help book where a so-called author quotes smart people, mostly psychologists and well known authors who actually had some knowledge about the topic。 I would call this an essay on the subject rather than a book one should spend his money on。 The guy adds little if nothing of his own ideas。 Buy C。G。 Jung instead or other authors he quotes and uses as a reference if you’re looking for something serious。 If you are not a fan of reading and simply want an easy brief on the Yet another so-called self help book where a so-called author quotes smart people, mostly psychologists and well known authors who actually had some knowledge about the topic。 I would call this an essay on the subject rather than a book one should spend his money on。 The guy adds little if nothing of his own ideas。 Buy C。G。 Jung instead or other authors he quotes and uses as a reference if you’re looking for something serious。 If you are not a fan of reading and simply want an easy brief on the subject, go for this one。 I do not recommend it, though。 。。。more

Chris,
The layout of this book is a little strange and so is the wording, but the information is really interesting to read。
Bruni Marco,
Not a comprehensive work of all details of (for example) ego defence mechanisms, body language, etc。 but a great way to learn about all major areas of people reading。 By the way, it would be impossible to summarize everything in just one book。 Particularly interesting in my opinion the practical advices the author gives in terms of questions to ask, things to notice, etc to better know the other person (or actually ourselves)
